One powerful tool and concept for developing a deeper understanding of multiplication and division is the multiplication table. Students need to be able to identify patterns, connect skip-counts (factors) to products fluently, and gain familiarity/confidence with the table. This resource is a hands-on way to do that.
In this resource, students are able to build and manipulate the multiplication table. There are three different format options for printing and differentiation options. Two full color options, which support pattern/factor recognition, make the task a little bit easier. The full black, gray, and white version can be printed on white paper for more advanced students, as it provides less visual support. You can print the black and white pages on colored paper to customize your table and/or save on color ink. You can build this together as class over time, or use it for a center or workshop job for individuals, partners, and small groups.
This product includes the three build-able multiplication tables, answer keys, a differentiation page, an assembly page, and a student directions page. Looking for more multiplication products?
