In my classroom, I use the "workshop" approach when teaching reading. Throughout the week...my mini-lessons revolve around the same concept. As a teacher, I want to see that my students are understanding that concept and show evidence of this by responding in their "reading response" journals.
Often, I have the students use the task cards for their journal responses,
This kit includes:
* explanations for cause and effect to be cut out and glued into response journals for students to refer to
* Picture cause and effect matching activity...cut and glue into journals
* Sentence cause and effect matching activity
* 6 cause and effect task cards for students to cut out and glue into their journals...as well as responding correcting to the questions that are asked on the task cards
I was able to get a great deal of information about my students and their understanding of cause and effect by using these task cards.
I hope that this packet becomes a useful tool in your Reader's Workshop.
Thanks and God Bless,
