This is an interactive resource to give 1st graders practice comparing numbers using the symbols >, <, and =. This resource allows students to complete number sentences by choosing and dragging the correct comparison symbol.
See the file in action by downloading the product preview above or by
to see it on my YouTube channel (opens a new browser window).
There are 25 practice items arranged from the easiest to the most challenging.
The pages are designed to be used as formative assessments. After a student completes the task on a page, the answer should be checked by the teacher or a peer checker before the student goes on to the next item.
This file would be ideal in a classroom where each student has a laptop or desktop. You could load the file on a network shared folder and all students would be able to access it.
This resource is also great for working with a small group.
This resource is a collection of HTML files, so the only software needed to use it is Google's free Chrome browser.
As with all the items I have available, this file has been developed by me, a veteran teacher dedicated to the philosophy of promoting math fluency and skill mastery through fun.
