Please be sure to download the preview file. It really is the best description of the product. This is a bright and cheerful interactive file folder book report that can be used by children in Grades 3-5, ESL/ELL and homeschool. This resource is suitable for all students, at all learning levels.
Using any fiction text, students will analyze character traits, identify important events from the beginning middle and end, rate/recommend their story and draw a picture of the main character and a favorite scene from the story. This product looks great when students have colored it and assembled it on the file folder. It’s also a great project to display in a special basket for other students to read and enjoy during independent reading time. It can be a real community builder this way!
It is an assignment that students can easily do in-class or at home.
One of the things I love about this product is how it can be used over and over again throughout the school year. It’s cute, but not overly cute, making it appealing to children of many age levels. It’s also great value for your money since it’s so generic.
The middle of the file folder holds the interactive areas. Here, students are asked to identify three traits of the main character, along with evidence from the text to support their ideas. They are also asked to write about an important event from the beginning, middle and end of the text.
