This product was designed to help students learn functional vocabulary, body parts, using an interactive self-checking story and manipulatives. Students read through the story identifying where the boy is hurt and can use the boy and bandages manipulatives to participate in the story by adding bandages to that body part. Self-checking pages allow students to check their work and provide learning opportunities without teacher instruction. The boy and bandage manipulatives can also be used for other activities, e.g. following directions and labeling. Body parts include: hand, arm, head, leg, foot, stomach, and ear.
This resource could be used for all age levels working on functional vocabulary, i.e. in a life skills program or other special education setting.
