It is my desire to provide my students with a comprehensive daily math review that will challenge your kinders to think and grow mathematically while aligning with CCSS. Daily review of skills helps students to retain the concepts taught. I have found that even if I haven’t covered a topic yet, it doesn’t hurt to introduce using the daily math. You will be surprised what your students will retain.
To use the slides, you will begin each day with the 100 chart.
I have made many of the activities open ended as you can take them in the direction you need with your students.
Components covered each week are:
Counting to 100 (use the 100 chart to your advantage looking for number
patterns, guess the covered number(s), etc. )
Establishing the date and day of the week.
Telling time to the hour and half hour.
Number of the day ( 1 more, 1 less, 10 more, 10 less, writing the number, counting on and back from the number,
showing the number in base ten, draw and tally the number, and draw the number.)
Couting on and back from a number supplying missing numbers.
Comparing numbers (greater than, less than, and equal to using both pictures and/or numerals)
Identifying both 2d and 3d shapes by name and identifying shapes in our world.
Comparing numbers ( determining how many more or less of a number will be needed.
Adding and Subtracing to and within 10. (with or without pictures, drawing pictures to show work)
Solving word problems.
Identifying and counting money.
Thank you for choosing my product. The Happy Kindergarten Teacher
Please NOTE: The preview is an example of a week of slides. NOT necessarily this week. Please let me know if you might like me to add something and I will see if I can work them into future weeks. Thanks again.
