Hello – Thank you for looking at Interactive Language Lessons to Learn About Native Americans and Develop Langauge Skills.
I designed this lesson to not only address the language goals of my students, but to also teach them about Native American life in the 1600s when the Pilgrims first arrived in America from England.
By completing the scenes, the students will be able to develop their vocabulary, repeat sentences back to improve sentence structure and language memory, execute directions containing linguistic concepts, respond to basic and higher level verbal problem solving and thinking questions and retelling scenes of a story as a take home activity. Parent note explaining language activities addressed is included.
My students love being able to take home a little mini-book to share the information they learned with their parents.
Included in this lesson are:
Mini-book pictures in color and in black and white, scenes with factual information regarding Native American vocabulary and life, directions, sentences to repeat, directions to follow to complete the scenes, parent note.
