Spice up your calendar with colorful math review!
This PDF includes 10 different sets of calendar days to be used during the months of your school year.
Each month has a different mathematical theme practicing skills including:
-prime, composite, and square numbers
-types of triangles
-perpendicular, parallel, and intersecting lines
-types of angles
Each set contains 31 days and sets are not month-specific giving you the freedom to decide which skill you'd like to practice as the year goes on. Chevron title thumbnail not included.
Suggested use: Print PDF to card stock or copy paper and laminate. Cut apart into squares and use on a blank calendar or enlarge the squares using a method of your choice.
Two ways I've found this calendar to be successful in my class are:
1) Put one day up at a time and have students predict the piece each day based on patterns from previous days.
2) Put the entire calendar up on the 1st of the month and allow students to write down what they think the pattern is using mathematical terms and hold a monthly contest for the most accurate answer.
This is a great way to review curriculum on a daily basis to help students master and retain skills.
Before printing, ensure the PDF is scaled to your liking in the print preview.
