This is a complete interactive math journal for 1st grade. All CCSS are covered within the journal, most standards have multiple pages to allow for proper scaffolding. The journal includes necessary vocabulary, models, interactive components, real-world application, and space for student reflections.

There are 2 suggested ways you could use this interactive math journal with your class.
•Print the document “complete interactive math journal” double-sided
•Bind this document to create a book for each student
•The book will be in order of the standards, so you will not necessarily use it in page order – as you introduce a new concept, use the corresponding page
•Each page includes models for students, a place for students to put into practice, and a place for students to reflect on the skill
•Pages with a “glue here” will require you to print a page from the document “resources for interactive math journal” for each student
•There are blank pages left at the end of the journal to add any additional math skills that your students may need
•Give each student a spiral notebook
•Have students glue the I can statements and teacher models from the document “complete interactive math journal” into their notebooks as you teach a concept
•Then have them practice the concept and write their reflection on the next page
•Students will need to create their own table of contents as their journals are populated
