Okay, I know you are thinking, where are the levels for grading the journals? Well, after much reading and PDs, I have come to the conclusion that if we only have scholars reaching for a goal of receiving a 4 on each section of the rubric, that is what they will aim for. There are no other optional lists for them to aim for, so why not a 4 across the rubric? This is what I use.
Also, Cornell note style note taking is a plus for scholars today.
