This product contains pages to use to create a CCSS aligned reference folder for your fifth grade students. Rather than relying on mass produced folders or the back of the marble notebook that has lots of unneeded information, have your students create their own reference pages!
In this product you will find a few options for creating either a reference folder from a file folder or reference pages in your students' notebooks. (The pages will fit in either format, but you will need to make sure your students cut very closely if you plan to use their notebooks. There will be some overlap in the pieces, but all of the content is visible.) You can print all four pages at once or print just the portions you plan to complete that day. Students will take ownership of the information if they have to interact with it.
There are many options for using these reference pages. You might complete each section as you finish each unit or save the project for your end of year/standardized testing review.
Topics reviewed in this reference folder:
- order of operations
- converting measurements
- place value (x 10, /10)
- standard form, expanded form, word form
- operating decimals and representation on a base 10 grid
- creating equivalent fractions
- operating fractions and visual representations
- plotting on a coordinate grid
- defining two dimensional figures
- volume concept and formula
At the end of the packet, you will find a full color teacher's guide so you do not need to sit and color to create a model for your students. You might also use the teacher's guide page to project onto the board for students to have a model to follow.
This folder is NOT meant to be a comprehensive review of fifth grade CCSS, as that would probably take 10 folders or 40 notebook pages! This is meant to be a brief overview of key concepts and areas of focus.
Please also note that the number of pages is 27, but there are only 4 pages of student work in this product. It is priced accordingly.
