Nuts about Fall is an interactive rhythm game designed for Google Slides or Adobe PDF. This Autumn or Fall themed game is used to help students practice reading musical rhythms and provide teachers an opportunity to assess students in the process.
These rhythms include patterns using sixteenth, half, quarter, double eighth notes and rests. Students search for the missing squirrels by choosing different acorn friends. As the students choose the acorns, they are given examples of rhythms to practice. When they find them, they get an extra turn.
There are three versions of this game included. This gives your students ample opportunities to practice their rhythms and have several turns each!
This Google Slides game can be projected for a whole group to play or played on a tablet/computer/chromebook for individual or small group work. It is a great way to integrate technology into the classroom and differentiate instruction (especially for second language learners develop language skills and vocabulary development.) But, most importantly, it provides lots of fun while learning about music!
Why use flash cards when you can have students achieve the same result with an engaging game?.
Included in this game is the Google Slides version with instructions and the Adobe PDF to be played using Adobe Reader or other PDF applications.
