This is a set of activities to use in your 4th grade math interactive notebooks. This set is aligned with the following Common Core standard in the Numbers and Operations in Base Ten domain:

CCSS.Math.Content.4.NBT.B.5 Multiply a whole number of up to four digits by a one-digit whole number, and multiply two two-digit numbers, using strategies based on place value and the properties of operations. Illustrate and explain the calculation by using equations, rectangular arrays, and/or area models.

-48 Number Cards and Sorting Pockets: 1,2,3,4 digit numbers (Students draw 2 number cards and multiply them in their notebooks. These can also be used for a variety of other activities.)
-Place Value Blocks (to be used as manipulatives to create area models - these work best when printed on card stock)

This is a hands-on way for kids to get involved in learning multiplication concepts aligned with 4.NBT.5!
