*THIS PAGE CAN BE USED FOR TEACHING "HAVE" IN FRENCH AND ITALIAN TOO!
Use this page to illustrate the meanings of and differences between Tengo, Tienes, and Tiene without resorting to the L1. Included also is a family tree graphic with blanks for basic family vocabulary to describe their closest relatives.
Students paste the action images at the top and write in numbers 1-20 as well as 30-100 by tens with their Spanish spelling below so they'll be able to express their age. After filling in the family vocabulary, this can be pasted below the numbers or as a flap that covers them.
To reflect on the opposing page, students write the questions ¿Cuántos años tienes? and ¿Quién tienes en tu familia? to see the words used in context. They then use their prior knowledge (soy, me gusta) from previous pages to write a personal profile on themselves including their age and people they live with before interviewing a classmate and composing a third person personal profile on him or her.
