Interactive Notebooks are great! However, grading can often be time consuming and painful. I used to lug crates of them home to grade and would spend anywhere from 3-5 minutes on each one providing feedback. I found myself marking the same errors and making the same comments. To combat this, I created a fully editable quarter sheet form (so students don't lose space in their notebooks) that clearly identifies the necessary components of their Cornell Note style notes, as well as simple feedback that I can check off. Students can also trade and grade their notebooks in class because the form looks for specific items that they can check off or circle.
