Here is one example of a rubric I have used when implementing interactive notebooks in my geography courses. The HOTLINK is how students link the information they were given by the teacher to their lives. They need to be able to make connections to course work that they can relate to in some way, shape, or form. I typically will give all points for really detailed pics/writing even though the rubric asks for more. Let's face it, high school kids are busy with sports, clubs, other classes, boy/girl friends...if a student writes a high level poem or draws a really detailed picture, I will give full credit under this.
