I’ve been teaching for over 13 years now and I’ve been doing hands-on learning projects and notebooks with my students almost from the beginning of my career. However, it wasn’t until recently that I discovered there’s a name for what I have been doing for over a decade – Interactive Student Notebooks. I did some research and discovered to my delight and surprise that there is a whole teaching philosophy behind it. Who knew? So, I made a commitment to making some adjustments to my lessons to align with the ISN methodology and I really enjoyed the even greater success my students experienced as a result!
I’ve compiled some of my most successful lessons for history and share them with my TpT community of teachers. Here is my unit for Protestant Reformation Era is ideal for 6th – 10th grades. This is NOT simply a product full of templates and organizers.
