Product Description
Interactive notebooks are a wonderful, and fun, way to introduce your students to American history! Now you can purchase the Native American, Explorers, Colonies, American Revolution, U.S. Government, Westward Expansion, AND the Civil War social studies notebook units together and save a little money!

I've been using notebooks in Social Studies for several years now, and I love it! My units involve a lot of reading, and even includes mini-books and reading passages! These mini-books have foldables and other activities that focus on reading skills, such as summarizing, looking for main idea and details, highlighting important information, taking notes, etc. My students have loved watching their notebooks grow throughout the school year and enjoy looking back at what they have learned.

Included in this purchase are 6 COMPLETE units! Each notebooking unit is a stand-alone unit, so it DOES NOT require a text book.

Each mini-book in these units is topic specific, and written for my fifth graders, however, I believe it can be used in grades 4th-6th. For each mini-book, there is a coordinating activity that can be added to a notebook. Reading the mini-book, then completing an activity helps cement the newly acquired knowledge into the minds of students!
