Practice comprehension skills with a Halloween twist!
This product can be used to target the important skills of comprehension and learning concepts in a fun way! The material includes 6 Halloween picture scenes, each with a short story that is a few sentences long, as well as two pages of items and people to be added to the scene. (Each scene needs 6 items or people added to it.) Students can read the page themselves or listen as the short story is read. Then, they can put the pictures in the scenes as described in the story!
To prepare: Print pages 3 through 10 of this product. Laminate all pages for durability. Cut out the individual pictures on pages 9 and 10. To make the activity easier, keep the items for each scene separate. To make the activity more difficult, mix them up! To make the activity extra engaging, add magnets to the back of the pictures. Attach the scenes to a cookie tray using magnets as well and get ready to have lots of fun!
To use: Take out one picture scene at a time. Read the story or have students read the story. Then, student(s) can add pictures to the scene as described in the story. To make the activity easier, read one sentence at a time. To make the activity more of a challenge, read a few sentences at a time.
