I know early readers need lots of repetition of familiar words so they can read their books over and over to themselves and to family members to enhance learning. This is a book about dogs with familiar sight words your kindergarteners or other young readers to practice reading and to enjoy. Each page requires students to add a detail to the picture to correspond with the sentence on the page. For example, one page might have the reader color the dog brown, or another page has the student add a red collar to the dog. At the end of the book there is a spot for readers to write down their favorite dog in the book and to fill in a dot-to-dot bone for their favorite dog. A simple but fun reading activity to get young learners excited about reader!
