This product contains five different interactive reading foldables and lessons for any dystopian text for middle school students. This product is middle school kid tested and was utilized during literature circles with the dystopian texts The Giver, Animal Farm, and Unwind. The foldables are not text specific but focus on literary elements within dystopian fiction. The lessons include:

2. Characteristics of a Dystopian Society
3. Types of Dystopian Control
4. Characteristics of a Dystopian Protagonist
5. Rebellion, Revolt, and Revolution in Dystopian Fiction
In addition to the foldables and directions how to use the foldables, links and additional resources are included. This product is Common Core aligned and requires students to apply specific textual details of the text he or she is reading to each foldable.
