Interactive Reading Responses are perfect for Read to Someone, Book Buddies, Home Reading programs and even Genius Hour. Kids read independently or with a partner / adult and then they are encouraged to think about what they read as they engage in conversation and perhaps a written response.
Responses Focus on:
1. I can form opinions. Children will make inferences about the stories they read (focus on characters).
2. I can find information. Children will determine importance about the information they learn through books, articles and online sources.
Interactive Reading Responses Include:
- Reading Cootie Catchers (can also be used as a Response Spinner).
- Response Strips (can also be used as a Bookmark)
- Bulletin Board Posters
This resource is Canadian and American spelling friendly.
