Description
Any object can be turned into a link to a website, video, or activity for the students. Objects can be placed on the tables and/or the shelves that are related to your lessons. Accents can be added to make the classroom.
In our classroom, our unit is living things! I have a flower pot, a watermelon, and a fish bowl with fish inside of it, all sitting on the table. Each of these objects have links to various videos, online activities, and resources, that I, as the teacher can use throughout my lessons. Also, on the bottom row of shelves, I have the front cover of books, so imitate books sitting on the shelf. Each of these book covers are linked to YouTube videos, or other sources of videos that the kids can read and/or read along with that are related to the topic: living things. On the poster on the wall, I have an online resources to a website that allows me to walk though the different parts of the plant, since that is a chapter in our unit. The students respond very well to my classroom and really enjoy seeing how the objects on the table change depending on the lesson we are discussing.
