In this science lab, students test to see the solubility of salt or sugar. (Your Choice. I have used sugar because I had big bags of it donated to my classroom. It does make a sticky mess though.) To conduct the test, students are put into groups of three or four. They then individually test to see how sugar/salt dissolves into warm water and cold water. They add little by little until it no longer dissolves. They then graph their data on a bar graph and also graph what their partners found. This lab shows students how scientists share their results and compare data to see if their work was accurate.
