This resource is interactive (movements and sounds with the touch of a finger or click of a mouse!) that can be used on interactive whiteboards, laptops, PCS and tablets that run Microsoft PowerPoint.
It is aimed at teaching and practicing sight words. It is visual, fun and engaging! Special needs children love them!
Each Kit contains one interactive reader using words from Fry’s First 100 (Level 1) sight words list (4-6 per story). The story uses key sight words and theme words to tell a tale.
The story contains sounds and movement that require touching the screen or clicking the mouse when the hand appears over an object or word, so it’s a little bit of magical fun with reading practice! Students get a kick out of finding the sounds and things that move!
The kit also contains a 5 page work booklet to match the story. The booklet worksheets are:
1. ‘Trace and Make’ flashcard worksheet using focus words. *take them home to practice!
2. Two word work sheets with missing words and picture clues.
3. Comprehension questions with word and picture clues.
5. Read, write and draw worksheet.
So, technically you will be purchasing a complete Interactive Reader kit to use as Literacy circle activities for an entire week, or to use as a whole class sight word lesson or simply use the story for some fun at home time!
*Please note this is a computer based resource with printable worksheets to support, you will require access to a current version of Microsoft PowerPoint to ensure all features work successfully. The PowerPoint opens automatically as a slideshow. It will NOT open in an editable format in order to protect image copyright of fellow TpT sellers If you experience technical trouble please contact to find a solution before leaving feedback, that would be appreciated!
Happy interacting and sight word reading!
