Interactive Sight Word Stations

Sight Word Fluency and Interactive Sight Word Fluency - for students that need more than just a hands on activity. Some students need to hear and see the sight words. They may be able to manipulate the words and build them from example, but nothing is better than a student hearing and seeing the words.
This product is for those students that need to hear, see AND build their sight words.

This pack can be used in SO many ways!

First, you DON’T need an internet connection to use these. (This large file is linked with dropbox)
The videos are movie files, so as long as you have a movie reader, you can use them.
You can use them on a projector, promethean, or smart board. You can also scan the included QR codes and use them on a smartphone, ipod or ipad.
Students can use these whole group, small group, during RTI, or centers. Students can use these as morning work as well.

You can even turn down the volume, and complete them whole group in class. (This is how I introduce this activity!)

How I use this pack

The videos are approximately 3-4 minutes in length per word.
Each pack has 3 sets. Each set has 4 words in it. A four word activity (one set) can last between 10-15 minutes. This allows students to complete their sight word activity, then go to another center after.

All sight word stations feature the following:

Listen and Read

Students will see the word. I will read it, and then they will read it.

Students will take out the letters (either paper or magnetic letters) out and will mix the letters up and build the word three times.

Each sentences is only 4 words, and contains a picture clue.
Students will use gradual release model.
I will read the sentence to them. They will follow along using tracking dots.
Then, we will read the sentence together, using the dots.
After that, students will attempt the sentence themselves.

Students will then write the sentence that was read and practiced.
Each sentence is only 4 words, making it less stressful to complete.
Students will reinforce capital letters, punctuation and spacing as well!
