This product is designed to be used as a spelling program or as word work. There are many options for working with words within this product. I’ve chosen words that
are a combination of sight words and word family words. Students will be given a specific list of words each week, either as their spelling words or as words we are working on within our Daily 5 centers.
My goal is to make a notebook of these words for my students, week by week, so that it can double as a glossary when they are writing. I’ve included a cover sheet for the notebooks if you are interested in doing this as well. I hope this will empower them as they write independently throughout the year and will help them begin to internalize the standard spellings of frequently used words.
There are specific directions on the second page of the product for specific pages. Most of the pages are self-explanatory. My email is also included should you have questions or comments. I included some interactive components because I find that my students LOVE those!
The activities within this product can be used altogether in a word work center, individually, or in whatever combination works best for your classroom. I’ve tried to provide lots of options so that you can find what works best for you!
