A word wall is essential in the classroom. Word walls support early vocabulary, concept and literacy development.
This year I have found wonderful success using an interactive word wall in my classroom. I have seen the ways it has helped my students with their reading and their writing. Students are taking ownership of their learning and making it interactive.
I allow my students to use the word wall during independent work time. If the word they are looking for is not in the binder ring under the correct letter then I write the word in their “Quick Word” books. If it is also a word I think all my students would benefit from I type it up in this document and print off the page and add it to the ring.
Using an interactive word wall is not only engaging for students but for teachers it takes up a significantly less amount of space. I hope that this product is effective in your classroom and that your students become engaged and active learners.
