This infographic picture explains what Intermediate Language looks and sounds like in a World Languages Classroom. Since my learning targets are all based around the ACTFL proficiency levels, I post this on my classroom wall, and my learning targets for all novice classes are readily available. I strive to maximize my target language use in the classroom, so the infographic nature of this poster allows me to use as little English as possible. I also like to hang this right between my Novice and Advanced Proficiency Posters, so that my Novice-High students can see when they are peeking into Intermediate, and when they are falling back into Novice. Similarly, my Intermediate-High students can see when they are evidencing Advanced proficiency features.
