Four interactives focusing on polar vs. nonpolar bonds, vapor pressure, difference between the bonding strength of hydrogen, dipole-dipole, and London dispersion forces, one on just hydrogen bonds, and dipole-dipole vs. London dispersion forces. Includes *NGSS aligned claim, evidence, and reasoning analysis for three of the interactives and six pages of inquiry questioning. Teacher answer key included. These virtual labs are included in my intermolecular forces unit.
Students will need a computer/laptop with internet connection.
The activity aligns with the *Next Generation Science Standards HS-PS1-3: Plan and conduct an investigation to gather evidence to compare the structure of substances at the bulk scale to infer the strength of electrical forces between particles.
