Product Description

Build your students' comprehension of inbound and outbound capital flow with this engaging and multi-faceted activity!

This activity includes:

1) This "International Capital Flow" Activity includes 5 parts. It begins by asking your students to define inbound capital flow and explain how high interest rates drive capital inflow into an open economy. Students will then describe the effects of inbound capital flow on an aggregate economy and graph the impact of inbound capital flow on the foreign exchange market. Next, students will use a Keynesian transmission graph to graph the effects of inbound capital flow on a nation's loanable funds market, money market, foreign exchange market, and the aggregate economy as a whole. Students will then be asked to define outbound capital flow and explain how low interest rates drive capital outflow out of an open economy. Students will then describe the effects of outbound capital flow on an aggregate economy and graph the impact of outbound capital flow on the foreign exchange market. Next, students will use a Keynesian transmission graph to graph the effects of outbound capital flow on a nation's loanable funds market, money market, foreign exchange market, and the aggregate economy as a whole. Lastly, students will be provided with 4 separate examples of inbound and outbound capital flow and will be required to graph the impact of capital flow on a nation's loanable funds market, money market, foreign exchange market, and the aggregate economy as a whole. They will also be required to use what they've learned to indicate the change to numerous economic indicators across the economy.
