Learning how to find accurate information efficiently on the Internet is difficult for all ages. This is designed for 3rd grade and up--though probably the second semester of 3rd grade rather than the first on the younger end.
Students will practice identifying keywords, searching for information, and selecting websites based on search page information. They will also learn why spelling matters in the search bar, what domains mean and how they can inform about credibility, and what to consider when looking at website authority.
This product is intended to be used as a packet over the course of multiple class sessions. Includes answer key pages as applicable. I use this after teaching Internet safety and before going into Big 6 research projects.
