Students hone their research skills and have a good time competing with each other on the internet using these Web quests. In addition, terrific for learning centers that have computer access.
This file contains TWO sets of internet searches (treasure/scavenger hunts), on individual student handouts.
A: Nobel prize winners, major "firsts", the UN and NATO facts as well as facts about other people and places are the focus of this one page hunt as partners compete with other teams to get the most treasures. ANSWERS INCLUDED
Five versions of this first web quest, each a little different than the others, limits the amount of information that could be gleaned from someone else's hunt.
B: There are also FIVE OTHER internet searches, one version each: Panama Canal, Rock of Gib., Suez, etc. ANSWERS INCLUDED
Kids really have a good time with these, but when working in teams, some finish before others so I've included two word searches(aero space; 19thC. US presidents) for those students.
Fun while learning!
