Ella is a cashier at Cathy’s Chicken Shack. She often works the drive thru window during the busy hours of 5PM-8PM. A customer pulls up the speaker and Ella takes her order. The customer states she has a coupon for a free chicken sandwich and also would like a medium French fry. Ella tells her the total will be $5.85. The customer realizes that Ella did not include her free sandwich coupon, but since the line is long, she will wait to tell Ella at the window. When the customer arrives at the window, she tells Ella that she believes the coupon was not counted toward her order and hands Ella the coupon and her debit card.
