❤️ I used these task cards first as a sort, then had students solve. It was perfect!

❤️ I can never invent enough of these problems. Thanks for doing it for me!

❤️ I found the organization of differentiation was so easy to use! My students really enjoyed the problems - great rigor.

Common Core aligned to the Operations and Algebraic Thinking standard 4.OA.A.3: "Solve multistep word problems posed with whole numbers and having whole-number answers using the four operations, including problems in which remainders must be interpreted. Represent these problems using equations with a letter standing for the unknown quantity. Assess the reasonableness of answers using mental computation and estimation strategies including rounding."

In my classroom, we use task cards in many ways:

-As a fun alternative to independent practice

-As a review before quizzes

-For spiral review of previously learned concepts

-Prior to high-stakes testing

An answer key and directions are included.

Other task cards are available here.
