This activity can be used as a game or even just a simple worksheet.
This is how I do it:
Students are given 15 simple sentences in English. I give them 10 minutes to go through each sentence and tell me which types of questions can be asked about each sentence. The team that comes up with the most correct is the winner. I also use this opportunity to teach about when to use "est-ce que" with qui and when not to.
Once we determine which types are used, then I split them into pairs so that there are 15 groups (if you don't have 30 kids, just give the simple sentences to students on their own). Each group is in charge of a sentence and must write the associated questions. Then discuss as a class.
