Some kids have difficulty waiting for teacher attention. Use this strategy to solve this problem.
MAKING AN APPOINTMENT was designed as a visual support for students who struggle when asked to wait for teacher attention. The book teaches the child to make an appointment. Making an appointment guarantees attention…when the teacher is available.
And, there's a twist. In the book Teacher Appointment the concept is reversed for a student who is too upset to talk. In this case, the teacher makes the appointment...with the child.
BOTH books are included, each in FOUR different formats:
1. Little Book
2. BIGGER Book - color
3. BIGGER Book - Blackline (coloring book)
4. PowerPoint version
Included is a 4-page book that YOU may edit and add pictures. This helps personalize the concept. Pictures of the student (or pictures drawn by the student) give the student ownership in this 4-page book.
Other support materials are included to assist you in teaching this intervention.
