I had some friends come into my first grade classroom this year that didn't know the first sight word. Now keep in mind that these students knew too much to stay in Kindergarten, and were also too large to stay behind with such little friends. So I knew that I needed some interventions RIGHT AWAY! I made this pack to help them practice our first set of sight words. The words included are the first 25 sight words from the Fry list:
The activities that I include are:
*sight word scrambles
*read and sort
*spin, read and cover
*spin, read and graph
*roll, read and highlight
*read and color
*sort your sight words (by number of letters)
Each activity has explicit directions on how to utilize the activities in your small group as well as photographs for better understanding. I also include tips on how to keep everything organized.
Be sure to check out the preview to catch a glimpse of what's included!
