Product Description
This interview activity was designed for an introduction to journalism class. Partner students with someone they don't know well and give one student the first page of the document and give the second student the other page. (The two pages have some different questions. If students think they have the same sheet as their partner they'll start offering the information their sheet touches on.) Explain to the students that each person has instructions and a list of information to discover without referencing the question, topic or words. This activity will help students learn how to gleam information from interviews without necessarily asking specific questions. Alternatively, it can be used early in a class to introduce students to the class: after completing the sheet, the partners stand in front of the class and take turns introducing each other.
