Students are placed into partnerships to ask questions and record answers about the other person's "favorites." Students record answers to their interview questions on their worksheet (included) and then go back to their seats to begin using the answers they collected to make their friend a "special treat" (included). Each student will have a print out of an ice cream cone and a scoop of ice cream. Students use the answers to make their friend an ice cream cone. Students use each other's favorite number, shape, and color to make the amount and type of sprinkles their friend would like. Students will also use the lines on the ice cream cone to write their friend a special message. Great writing assignment to use around Valentine's Day or the beginning of the school year for "classbuilding" exercise.
