This project is an at-home activity for history.
It is used for students to compare and contrast the student's life with that of their parents, grandparents, and/or guardians.
The students will interview a grandparent and write a paragraph with the information they learned in their interview.
This includes directions for the students, a rubric to score it, and a simple interview sheet with questions to ask their grandparents.
In the directions, I explain that if they do not have any grandparents still alive, or living close enough to interview, that they may interview someone else that is older than their parents.
My students and their parents have always enjoyed doing this activity. The students learn interesting facts about their community and their grandparents.
Thanks for looking.
