Interviewing a text is a great skill for students to practice as it reinforces their ability to question a text, make predictions about the text, and keep track of the information that they already know about the text.
This packet of 10 is designed to be used when the students are in 4 groups. However, you can easily change it up. I have the students in groups so that the work can be divided.
At the end of class, the students, when listening to the other groups present their findings, use the 9th and 10th pages of this handout in order to record the findings of the groups.
Depending on how your class is structured, this set of handouts can be used for anywhere between one ninety minute period and three ninety minute periods.
Additionally, the handouts could and should be reused every time a new text is read.
