Collaborative, small-group instruction in the upper-level classes using learning stations. While reading the book *Into the Wild* by Jon Krakauer, small groups of students will rotate through eight stations to complete several activities on the following:
= Author's Style
= Literary Connections
= Secondary Characters
= Teacher Talk
Activities are usually introduced with either a webquest or a PowerPoint. Sometimes, supplemental reading is required.
** If desired, stations are suitable in whole group settings also.
My students are accustomed to a paperless classroom. I used Google Drive to set up stations. They did not have to physically move to another station except when it was time to conference with me.
