Laminate the brag tags and attach them to a lanyard so the children can wear them and feel proud about their growth mindset!
Laminate the "Keep on Trying!" cards and quietly set them on your students desk or table if you see them struggling…it may just be the extra little push they need to “keep on trying”!
Using these show your students that you "noticed" them sticking with it, trying another strategy, learning through their mistakes...etc. Giving them recognition in a concrete way is so motivating!
How awesome would it feel to get one of these on your desk if you were having a bad day or struggling with something? Everyone needs encouragement!
There is a bulletin board set with all of the growth mindset statements that match this emergent reader and other extension activities in my store. The link is on the last page with the credits. You don’t have to use them together, but if you would like to it’s an option!
