I introduce the Intolerable Acts with a comical skit that includes Abigail Adams, John Adams, The Narrator, and Ben Franklin. They discuss the 3 out of the 4 Intolerable Acts. Abigail Adams displays her intelligence but her husband does not catch on to the fact that he is repeating everything she says.
The Graphic Organizer explains: Each of the 4 Parts of the Act, what it did, and why it was intolerable.
I had the students work with a partner to fill out the graphic organizer (blank copy of the chart) through a reading in our book. This took them about 15 minutes. We then went over it as a class. I have found that most online articles about the Acts essentially sums it up too.
If you want to be even more specific you can call each part of the act by the proper title:
Boston Port Act
Massachusetts Government Act
Administration of Justice Act
