This bilingual assessment could be used as a diagnostic, pre-assessment, or post-assessment depending on how you want to use it. It is most appropriate for newcomer ESL students as it covers very basic topics. It is also useful for students who have gaps in their education and need to relearn some basics. All directions are in both English and Spanish.
This assessment covers knowing the alphabet (both lowercase and uppercase letters), basic vocabulary for introducing oneself, the days of the week, the months of the year, dates (1st, 2nd, 3rd...), numbers 1-10, classroom objects, classroom commands, and telling time. Answer key is included.
