We have all seen that student who presents with slightly raised or even significant anxiety. These days it is not so uncommon. How as educators do we work with this? Research on anxiety treatment shows that one of the best starting points is pyscho -education. This means actually teaching your student about their feeling and how to identify it in his/her body. This is done before we can even start to tease out what is causing the anxiety. Very young kids can understand the concept of basic feelings. They also need to know that feelings are dynamic.
