Flash Discount Deal! (limited time only) What do leprechauns and unicorns have in common?
They both love rainbows. This set is for those of you who would like to purchase the Leprechaun's Path to the Pot of Gold
and the "Path to Unicorn Land" versions of "Intro to Atoms". Both of these sets currently have the same key.
Your adventurers will learn about "Atoms" by completing a 3 differentiated domino path matching activities. Each activity has the option of including distractor cards so that you can easily differentiate your lesson.
The first two activities contain 10 clue cards plus 2 distractor cards. The third activity contains 20 clue cards plus 4 distractor cards. The third activity is also a review of topics from the first two activities. This allows for easy differentiation and is a great way for students to get extra practice. You may choose for your students to do the activities with or without the distractor cards.
These differentiated domino path matching activities are similar to other domino style matching activities. The word side of the domino is shorter, however, which allows more room for the "just for fun" decorated themes. Both middle and high school students love these decorated sets!
This product is recommended for 8th through the 10th grade. Please check the product preview to see if the content is appropriated for the level of your students.
The first card will say “Start” and will have the first question. Find the answer to the first question and place it above the start card on the "Path Map". The card that has the first answer will also have the second question. Be sure to follow the rainbow while you continue to find the matches until you have created the entire “Leprechaun's path to the pot of gold" or the "Path to Unicorn Land". The last card will have the last answer and will also say “Finish”.
A "Path Map" is provided for the students to create the path on. The map makes it extra easy for you to grade visually, however, you can also allow students to record answers on the provided answer sheet.
This activity can be used for individual students, learning centers, stations, pairs, or as a group activity. All you need to do is print, laminate, and cut the clue cards.
Topics for this review activity include the following:
electron, proton, neutrons, subatomic particles, mass, ion, isotope, cation, anion, average atomic mass, atomic number, charges, opposite charges attract, like charges repel, electron cloud, nucleus, neutral, amu, positive, negative, neutral, and mass number
