Intro to Circuits is one of my student's favorite lessons. We start by covering Ohm's law and circuit symbols. Cornell notes and detailed teacher notes cover vocabulary and math connections. A device guide is included for using a multimeter.
In the second part of the lesson, students use symbols to construct circuits on square dot paper. Student pages allow for drawing circuits on the left side of the page and calculations on the right.
The lesson ends with defining series and parallel circuits. Examples are included for students to find the sum of resistors in a circuit.
