Students learn the imperfect by answering questions/completing sentences in the present tense and then answering the same questions in the imperfect. The sentence stem is given first in the present tense using familiar language and vocab. The same stem is given again but with "de niño/a" and the verb in the imperfect. Students learn the imperfect without even thinking about it. The second page provides printable notes for how to form the imperfect.
